The transfer station is closing as Waste Management will be disposing of waste locally in Dunedin, rather than busing bulk haulage. This change will make our operations more efficient and reduce the carbon cost of long-distance transport.

There will be no changes to waste collections provided by Waste Management. We’re still going to be part of the Dunedin community.

From 2 December 2023 on, your nearest transfer station will be Dunedin City Council’s Green Island Transfer Station. It has extended operating hours and more waste and recycling options.

Dunedin FlexiBin Promotion Terms and Conditions

1. The promoter is Waste Management NZ Limited (NZ company number 1795427) of 318 East Tamaki Road, East Tamaki, Auckland 2013 (WMNZ) trading as FlexiBin.

2. The Dunedin FlexiBin Promotion (Promotion) commences at 1.00 am on 27 October 2023 and closes at 11.59 pm on 31 January 2023 (Promotion Period).

3. WMNZ is giving eligible customers (Participants) the ability to receive a discount of $20 (including GST) off an Eligible FlexiBin Collection by redeeming a Promotion code when they book and pay for the collection via our website.

4. To be eligible, Participants must:

• book a collection of an Eligible FlexiBin for a Serviceable Address in Dunedin City during the Promotion Period; and
• redeem the Promotion code when they book and pay for the collection via our website: www.flexibin.co.nz

5. The Eligible FlexiBin are:

a. General Waste FlexiBin 1m3 Collection
b. General Waste FlexiBin 2m3 Collection
c. General Waste FlexiBin 3m3 Collection
d. Garden Waste FlexiBin 1m3 Collection
e. Garden Waste FlexiBin 2m3 Collection

6. A Serviceable Address is any address within Dunedin City that can be selected via our website. There may be some areas we are unable to service.

7. The Promotion code must be redeemed online via our website before submitting the order.

8. Promotion codes are not transferable or redeemable for cash or credit. If your Eligible FlexiBin collection is cancelled, we will refund your payment, not the value of the Promotion.

9. Only one Promotion code can be used each time and therefore cannot be combined with other offers using a promotional code.

10. There is a limit of one purchase using the Promotion code per address.

11. By accepting this Promotion, you agree to be bound by all these terms and conditions (Terms). FlexiBin Terms & Conditions will apply to the Eligible FlexiBin collection, as modified only by the Promotion discount applicable under these Terms.

12. WMNZ’s decision in respect of any dispute or interpretation of these Terms is final and no correspondence will be entered into with any Participant or third party. WMNZ reserves the right to change any aspect of this Promotion at any time without notice, prior to a Participant ordering an Eligible FlexiBin collection.

13. All personal information collected will be held by WMNZ in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and WMNZ’s privacy policy. Under the Privacy Act 2020, Participants have the right to access and correct any such personal information. Participants may correct any of their details by sending an email to orders@wastemanagement.co.nz.

14. These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
