The Seaview Refuse Transfer Station is open for general waste, green waste, pallet wood and clean fill. The Recycling Station is accepts all paper, cardboard and glass.
Seaview Recycle and Transfer Station is situated at 27 Seaview Road, Seaview Lower Hutt. It is purpose built facility for the recycling and disposal of general solid waste, green garden waste, pallet wood and clean fill.
The front pit area is used for unloading general domestic and commercial solid waste. This area is under cover and can be fully utilised in all weather.
Recyclables such as metals are removed from the waste stream.
Customers with green waste are directed to the green waste stockpile at the rear of the premises. We accept all green waste including cabbage trees, bamboo flax, Agapanthus. We do not accept general refuse, rocks, soil, glass, plastic bags and food scraps amongst our green waste.
All traffic surfaces at Seaview Recycle and Transfer Station and asphalted or concreted. This make the facility clean and convenient to use in all weather conditions.

We do not accept hazardous waste - e.g asbestos, contaminated soil, animal carcases, hazardous chemicals, mixed engine oil, petrol, diesel, coolant.
